Amber Carter, founder of Lafayette based LoudMouth Merch full-service promotional products and brand marketing company, left home some three decades ago to “find her wings.” Amber affectionately describes herself as a “corporate gypsy,” as her career journey took her to several major cities including L.A., DC, then onto Nassau, Bahamas where she served a stint as a missionary.
Most recently in Atlanta with Cox Communications, Amber successfully carved out a 15-year corporate career in business development and affiliate relations. She created strategic media partnerships; connecting organizations with the audiences they serve while cultivating meaningful relationships across diverse industries and communities. While at Cox, Amber won an Emmy Award for her work co-developing a media platform that generated over a billion dollars in revenue for the media industry.
Her decision to return home was rooted in a desire to make a lasting impact in the community that helped shape her. Earlier this year, her company, “LoudMouth Merch” hosted more than 200 women at the Acadiana Center for the Arts for a screening of the documentary RATIFIED, a film chronicling the century-long fight to secure equal rights for women in the United States. Immediately following was a courageous panel discussion examining the progress of the women’s suffrage movement, and the work that remains in Lafayette’s business and civic landscapes.
