August 2018 - Laurie James, Career Coach

Join us at our August meeting to hear Laurie James' journey to becoming a powerhouse career woman who specializes in career coaching and marketing.

Laurie J. James has been a marketing and career coach for over 32 years. She has worked with industry career professionals and job seekers in the United States and abroad. She opened her resume writing business (Just Your Type, Inc.) in the mid-1980s to assist family & friends with their technical writing needs. This quickly led to resumes, career coaching, and marketing.

Becuase of Laurie's love for her community, she has remained actively involved on numerous community boards, where her marketing and fundraising expertise has been put to good use.

Laurie is one of only 12 people in the world who has earned the coveted Master Career Director designation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1983.
